Classes meet 8am-2pm, Monday through Thursday with the exception of the following:

The first week of Semester 1 will start on Tuesday, 
June 3 and continue through Friday, June 6th.  

Final exams will be given on the last day of each
semester.  Class will meet from 8am-11am on finals
day.  Attendance is mandatory.

Policies & Procedures

Please call 407-4141 to report an absence. 
Students are allowed only one excused absence (6 hours) per semester. (Each day is broken down into four periods.)  Students will be droppped on the second absence, receiving no credit or refund.  Students will be considered absent from a period if he/she is more than 10 minutes late.  Students are tardy if he/she is up to 10 minutes late for a period.  Students that are tardy must receive a pass from the office in order to enter class. A conference with the Principal or Asst. Principal will be required for a second tardy.  Additional tardies will result in a 30 minute detention after school.  Students may be dismissed form summer school for frequent tardies.

Room assignments will be posted on the first day of class in the main office windows at Ironwood Ridge High School.   

Text books will be issued in class on the first day of each semester.

Students will receive three 15 minute breaks throughout each day.  Students are required to stay on campus during breaks.

There will be a snack bar open throughout the day.  A variety of breakfast and lunch items will be available for a fee.

One bus will pick up at Amphi High School at 7:10 am on the Stone Ave. cut out and at Canyon Del Oro High School at 7:35 am in the bus loading zone by the fine arts building.  The bus will return students to Canyon Del Oro at 2:30 pm and at Amphi High School at 2:50 pm.

Students with an IEP or a 504 plan will need to submit a copy to the principal and the teacher on the first day of class.

Reasonable and proper campus attire must be worn at all times.  Summer school will adhere to the Amphitheater School District's dress code.  Failure to comply with standards of acceptable dress may result in expulsion.

Medication brought onto campus must be prescribed by a student's physician, and must accompany a doctor's RX form which must be given to the Principal's designee.  Students with medical conditions that may require special considerations should inform the summer school principal of these needs.

Students are not allowed to bring visitors to campus.

Student parking is available in the West Parking Lot.  Students must follow school and city parking regulations.  Loitering in parking areas during breaks will not be tolerated.

Students must check out through the principal's office when leaving camus during the school day.  Students will be released only with a parent/guardian's note.  Studens are not permitted to leave campus during breaks.

Ironwood Ridge High School and areas within 300 feet of the school hae been designated as a DRUG FREE SCHOOL ZONE.  Drug Free School Zones are high profile law enforcement areas.  The faculty and staff of Community Extension Programs and the police will not tolerate drug violoations in these areas.
