School Age Programs -
Before and After School

School age programs are for children enrolled in kindergarten through the age of 12 years old.  The program is designed to provide enrichment and learning experiences that enhance the school curriculum. School Age programs offer a stimulating, safe and welcoming environment for young children, with time for recreation and planned activities that are fun, educational and supported by trained staff. This program is offered before and after school at 10 elementary schools in the Amphitheater School District.

OUR GUIDING PRINCIPLES

We believe that families and the teaching staff are partners in the care and education of their children.

We believe that all children are able, competent learners and that their social and emotional health and development are directly related to their cognitive growth and development .

We believe that the learning environment should be rich with possibilities for exploration, inquiry and problem solving in all domains.

We believe that the children's programs should be ded by developmentally appropriate and culturally relevant practices, and that research and established best practices should inform our curricula.
